Eve followed some sage advice her mom gave her: assess a relationship after three months to decide if it's worth pursuing. Ken Pace, a business consultant, shared a similar mindset. He had a rule of his own—he wouldn’t propose until they’d been together for at least a year. "That’s a good cycle to really get to know someone," Eve explained. "It gives you time to understand their family dynamics and how they handle the holidays."

Eve and Ken finally tied the knot in 1995 and have been happily married ever since. While the couple didn’t have children together, Eve has been open about her decision. In a December 2015 radio interview, she shared, "Motherhood just isn’t something that appeals to me. It’s a tough job, and it’s not something I was willing to take on."
