Dallas Cast Reunites: Stories, Secrets, And Heartwarming Memories

Even though they're miles away from the iconic Southfork Ranch, the Dallas cast remains as close-knit as ever. They never miss an opportunity to gather for a grand reunion. "Getting to work with these amazing people at Southfork—it’s truly the best job anyone could ask for," shares Linda Gray, who played Sue Ellen Ewing in the beloved drama. Recently, she reunited with Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs), Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing), and Priscilla Presley (Jenna Wade) for a lively panel discussion at the Hollywood Show in Burbank, California. This was the first time Priscilla joined her fellow Dallas co-stars for a formal public gathering since she left the show back in 1988.

When Was the Last Time All Five Were Together?

Patrick Duffy: “Last night, in the men’s room! We all have to help each other out at this stage of life. [Laughs] It’s been a long time since we’ve all been together in one place.”

Charlene Tilton: “The last time I saw the lovely Priscilla was at Larry Hagman’s 81st birthday in 2012, which, unfortunately, turned out to be his final birthday celebration we got to share.”

Remembering Larry Hagman

Patrick Duffy: “When I think of Larry, I remember the very first day I met him during the script reading at Warner Bros. Larry walked in like a true Texan, with saddlebags across his shoulders filled with champagne. That day, I went home and told my wife, ‘I think I just met my best friend.’ And it was true—we stayed close for over 40 years.”

Linda Gray: “Larry was the ultimate prankster, the life of the party, and someone who could make everyone laugh. He had a way of bringing joy to the set and brightening everyone’s day. There wasn’t a single person he didn’t adore.”

Barbara Bel Geddes: The Heart of the Show

Charlene Tilton: “Barbara was a treasure. She’d often share incredible stories about her Broadway days. One time, I answered the phone in her hotel room, and guess who was on the line? Playwright Tennessee Williams! I was so excited; he called me ‘a little firecracker.’ It was a moment I’ll never forget.”

Priscilla Presley's First Day on Set

Steve Kanaly: “Priscilla’s first day was unforgettable. I told her to hop in the car, and we took her to a nearby Mexican restaurant for margaritas. We might’ve been a little late getting back to set—and maybe a bit tipsy—but that was our way of welcoming her into the family.”

Priscilla Presley: “It was such a fun experience, and it was much easier than I anticipated because of how warm and welcoming everyone was. You all made me feel right at home.”

Patrick Duffy: “I had a van that I took in for a paint job, and when I got it back, I discovered the detailer had written, ‘I love Jenna Wade,’ inside the gas cap. Every time I fueled up, I’d smile and think, ‘Yeah, me too.’”

Priscilla, Were You Ever Offered a Role on Charlie’s Angels?

Priscilla Presley: “Yes, I was offered a role, but I decided against it. I didn’t want to be typecast. Looking back, I don’t regret it at all. Dallas was the perfect fit for me.”

Why Is Southfork Ranch Still So Popular?

Patrick Duffy: “Southfork Ranch became just as much a star of the show as any of us. When we started filming there in 1978, the owners were in financial trouble, and any one of us could’ve bought the ranch for under a million dollars. Years later, when Linda, Larry, and I returned for the TNT reboot of Dallas, driving up the driveway and seeing all the film trucks brought back so many memories. It was emotional. To this day, Southfork remains the second most visited home in America. [Patrick looks at Priscilla] Right behind you, of course, honey!”

Would Elvis Have Watched Dallas?

Priscilla Presley: “Absolutely. I think he would’ve been captivated by the storylines. Elvis loved drama and intrigue, and Dallas had plenty of both.”

Reflecting on Bobby's Death

Priscilla Presley: “Even now, I still feel heartbroken over that episode.”

Patrick Duffy: “Well, I’ve moved on. [Laughs] Life always offers a second chance!”

What’s Next for Priscilla?

Priscilla Presley: “For the past six months, I’ve been on tour with a show called ‘An Evening With Priscilla.’ It’s been an incredible experience, keeping me busy and allowing me to connect with fans. I truly enjoy meeting the people who come to see me.” [For more information, visit priscillapresley.com.]
