During a promotional interview on Today on October 10, the two powerhouse actors were asked if it was awkward filming a romantic scene together. George, with that signature Clooney charm, joked that it got tricky when his family visited the set. “The first day they came by to visit was a doozy,” Julia recalled, laughing. “It was like, ‘Papa, oh, Auntie Juju.’ And then we were all like, ‘Get them out of here!’” she exclaimed, mimicking the urgency of the moment. Julia, who has been married to Danny Moder since 2002 and is mom to three children, Hazel, Phinnaeus, and Henry, said that kissing George felt like “kissing your best friend.” She joked that George can’t live without her on-screen, teasing the possibility of more collaborations in the future. Their friendship has been a long-standing one, with the pair working together on films like Ocean’s Eleven, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Ocean’s Twelve, and Money Monster.

George revealed in a September 2022 interview with the New York Times that he told his wife the kiss scene took 80 takes, which naturally puzzled her. Julia clarified, “It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing.”
